Refund Policy & Cancellation Terms

1. Cancellation and Refund

Any reservation made on our website may be canceled under the following conditions:

  • More than 7 days before the rental date: free cancellation, no justification required, with a full refund of the amount paid.
  • Between 7 days and 48 hours before the rental date: 70% refund of the total reservation amount.
  • Less than 48 hours before the rental date: no refund.

2. Rescheduling a Reservation

The customer may request to reschedule their reservation to another available date, free of charge, provided the request is made at least 72 hours before the original rental date. Rescheduling is subject to FAM BOAT's availability.

3. Bad Weather

In case of unfavorable weather conditions on the rental day (strong wind, thunderstorm, navigation ban), the customer has the choice between:

  • Free rescheduling of the reservation to another available date.
  • Full refund of the amount paid.

The assessment of unfavorable weather conditions is made by FAM BOAT, taking into account safety conditions on Lake Annecy.

4. Breakdown or Unavailability of the Boat

In case of a major breakdown or any technical problem attributable to FAM BOAT preventing the normal course of the rental, the customer will receive a full refund.

5. Refund Procedures

Refunds are made to the payment method used during the reservation, within 7 business days from the validation of the request. No cancellation fees or administrative fees will be applied.

6. Security Deposit

A security deposit is required for each reservation. Its amount varies depending on the boat rented and is indicated during the reservation.

The security deposit is returned after the rental, subject to the condition of the boat and equipment. In case of damage found upon return, FAM BOAT reserves the right to retain all or part of the deposit amount to cover repair costs.
